Sarah Donley's $1 Million Fundraising Goal
The motivation behind MyCharityTeam.com began in late March, 2011. Sarah Donley, at age 13, became seriously ill and was rushed to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA to be treated for kidney failure. The excellent care that Sarah received at Children's Hospital turned a life threatening situation into a joyful celebration of life.
While Sarah was battling to get her kidneys working again, she became consumed with all the sick children around her. She soon realized that she was fortunate to have access to such quality medical treatment while millions of children in the United States go without medical care. Sarah decided at that time that she was going to do something to help the millions of children in our country that suffer and asked her parents to help
her come up with a way to raise money to help children in need. Sarah set her initial goal at $1 million.
When you sign up to work with MyCharityTeam.com, not only will you be helping raise money for your favorite charity, you will be helping Sarah raise money to meet her fundraising goals. At least 70% of the profits earned through fundraising sales at MyCharityTeam.com will be returned to support the charities of our individual affiliates. The remainder of the profits will be used to cover the costs of establishing a 501(c)3 charitable foundation in Sarah's honor and then create a fund balance. Funds will be used to help support the fundraising efforts of other charities that benefit children as will as help support local causes in Sarah's hometown of Altoona, PA.
